Bishop Leodies Warren, SR

BISHOP LEODIES WARREN, SR. was born Nov. 23, 1915 in Madison, AR to the late Emersion and Louvenia.

In 1936 he married Goldie Lomack and they were blessed with thirteen (13) children, six sons and seven daughters. Bishop Warren often testified how the Lord blessed him to be a true, faithful, devoted husband for sixty-six (66) years.

God called Bishop Warren to the ministry in 1942. He worked a short time as an evangelist, later answering the call to pastor the same year at Bethlehem Temple Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The church was renamed to Christ Temple Pentecostal Church, also called “The Valmar Street Church.” With the purchase of twelve (12) lots in 1980 at 1200 Lewis Street, the labored vision began brick by brick with what is currently known Greater Christ Temple Pentecostal Church.

In 1943, he became the pastor of what is currently known as Greater First Pentecostal Church located at 5302 Hwy 161 N., North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Bishop Warren was known for preaching Acts 2:38, the plan of salvation, and the importance of maintaining a holy lifestyle. He labored tirelessly working for the Lord, building two churches without a mortgage, over 67 years until his health began to fail.

Bishop Warren held the position of Diocesan Bishop of the Arkansas District Council 18th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., overseer of forty-three (43) churches.

Due to Bishop Warren’s exemplary leadership, on September 21, 2010, part of Lewis Street was renamed to Bishop Warren Drive.

Bishop Leodies Warren departed this life on September 28, 2015.
